Kevin Hart stars in Netflix's action-packed heist comedy, Lift, alongside Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Vincent D'Onofrio, Sam Worthington, Billy Magnussen, and Úrsula Corberó. Directed by F. Gary Gray, the film aims to defy viewers' expectations of Hart as he takes on a more grounded role as criminal expert Cyrus Whitaker. Set 44,000 feet in the air, Lift follows Cyrus and his team of expert criminals as they attempt to intercept and steal $100 million in gold from a plane mid-flight, after being given an ultimatum by Interpol agent Abby Gladwell (Mbatha-Raw), who also happens to be Cyrus' ex. In an interview with Collider, Hart, Mbatha-Raw, and Corberó discuss the appeal of heist movies like Ocean's Eleven and Gray's Set It Off, as well as their previous projects, the energy of the ensemble cast, and Hart's desire to make a shift in his career without straying too far from his comfort zone.
