Martha Stewart has admitted that she prefers not to wear underwear because she finds it too restrictive. The 82-year-old American TV personality revealed that she never wears regular underwear and instead opts for swimsuits underneath her clothes, just in case she feels like taking a dip in the pool.
In an interview with Page Six, she explained, "I like bathing suits. I like wearing bathing suits under my clothes just in case I want to go swimming. Bathing suits are my underwear. I don't wear any of that structured stuff like tight lace or Skims. But I do love Skims. I think they serve a good purpose, but I don't wear them. I only wear Aerie bathing suits under my clothes."
She also mentioned that she doesn't think Kim Kardashian will be upset with her for not wearing Skims. While she may not be a fan of structured underwear, she did share a photo of herself in a lace-fringed slip last year, showing that she is not opposed to some sexy lingerie.
It is possible that Kim may not be too upset, considering her sister Kendall Jenner has openly admitted that she doesn't like wearing bras. In 2016, Kendall shared on her website that she doesn't understand the fuss about going braless and finds it comfortable and sexy. She is confident in her body and doesn't see the need for a bra.
Kim, on the other hand, used to go without underwear before creating Skims. She revealed that she didn't like wearing underwear because it bothered her, but now she is obsessed with the style they have created. She had been a non-underwear person for a long time before finally finding a style that she loves.
Lady Gaga once admitted that she sees no point in wearing underwear, stating that she rarely wears them and is not ashamed of it.
Kate Beckinsale also revealed that she only wears underwear when she is going out in a very short skirt.
Emma Thompson shared that she stopped wearing underwear a long time ago because she finds comfortable underwear uncomfortable.
Martha, who made history as the oldest cover model for Sports Illustrated in 2023, mentioned that she received some inquiries from men after the cover shoot.
Despite her age, she is still open to dating and even has a crush on Brad Pitt. During an appearance on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, she playfully admitted, "I've been intrigued by this very attractive young man on Instagram named Brad Pitt. I just can't help but swoon when I see his pictures. He is so charming! He only gets better with age."
She even urged the host to check out the handsome actor's photos for himself in a cute moment on the show.
