Rachel Fuda Opens Up About Her Stepson Jaiden's Adoption Journey
May 04 2024

Rachel Fuda's first season on The Real Housewives of New Jersey involved her legally adopting her stepson, Jaiden, who is the eldest child of her husband, John Fuda, and his ex-wife, Brittany Malsch. Rachel also has two daughters with John, Giuliana, and Giannella.

The Fudas shared that Jaiden's adoption had been finalized after it became a significant part of her Season 13 storyline. Rachel exclusively shared her adoption journey with Distractify ahead of RHONJ Season 14 and discussed her thoughts on John's ex publicly speaking out.

Did Rachel Fuda adopt her stepson?

In May 2023, Rachel confirmed that she legally became Jaiden's parent in 2022, with the adoption taking place about a year ago without the birth mother's intervention. "I want to say it was Nov. 16," she said of Jaiden's adoption date. "So it was a while ago, and we're really excited about it."

Rachel shared that Jaiden won't be featured as much on RHONJ Season 14 because he is a busy teenager with his own interests. "Jaiden didn't film as much with us this year," Rachel revealed. "He's a 17-year-old boy with his own stuff going on. But he loves the show. Loves it. He's a little ham."

Addressing comments from John's ex-wife, Rachel emphasized that they have not had a relationship in nine years. She also mentioned being more cautious about new friendships due to her newfound fame and the increased scrutiny on her family. "I think that I'm just a little bit more apprehensive," Rachel said. "I proceed with caution, and actually, in all my friendships, less is more."
