A clip of Sydney Sweeney hosting Saturday Night Live went viral, sparking an online debate about 'wokeness'. The 26-year-old actress wore a low-cut black dress during the show, which garnered over 25 million views online.

Some right-wing commentators claimed that her outfit signaled the end of 'wokeness', leading to a strange online discussion.

Conservative commentator Richard Hanania and blogger Ian Miles Cheong shared a video on Twitter, claiming that "wokeness is dead" and "wokeness is so finished." However, many on the platform questioned their conclusion and criticized the right-wingers.

Writer Ben Dreyfuss posted a screenshot of Hanania's comments, pointing out that conservatives are trying to change the narrative by suggesting that liberals are not supportive of women owning their own sexuality, which is not true.

Another person commented: "The brains on the right are completely fried. How can someone see a beautiful woman and immediately think about making it political?"

This reaction came after Sydney was praised as the 'hottest woman alive' following a preview for the SNL show where she wore a revealing leotard. In a striking red outfit, she wore a tight-fitting leotard that highlighted her curves and had ruffles at the hips. The top of the outfit had a sweetheart neckline and she completed the look with red velvet gloves.

The actress chose a Jessica Rabbit-inspired look that had fans raving. One Twitter user even declared her as the "hottest woman alive, Sydney Sweeney."

The A-list star also participated in several skits on the show, including one at Hooters where she was outshining her co-workers in tips.
