British Prison Officer's Shocking Scheme to Inseminate Herself with Rapist's Sperm Using Syringe
A prison officer's infatuation with a dangerous inmate has led to a jaw-dropping plot to get pregnant using the convict's sperm. Cherri-Ann Austin-Saddington, who now uses a wheelchair, became romantically involved with sex offender Bradley Trengrove while working at HMP The Verne in Portland, Dorset.

The 29-year-old officer developed a strong attraction to Trengrove, 31, which resulted in a secret six-month affair. During this time, the couple engaged in sexual activities in secluded areas of the prison, including deserted workshops, reportedly up to 40 times while she was on duty.
Despite their efforts, Austin-Saddington experienced a miscarriage after becoming pregnant with Trengrove's child. However, their relationship did not end when Trengrove was transferred to another prison. The court revealed that Austin-Saddington continued to visit him under a false name, demonstrating her unwavering commitment to their relationship.

In a shocking twist, Austin-Saddington devised a plan to become pregnant again. She smuggled a Calpol syringe into the prison, intending to use it for artificial insemination with sperm that Trengrove had wrapped in cling film for her. This bizarre scheme highlights the lengths to which she was willing to go for her convict lover.
After pleading guilty to charges of misconduct in a public office, Austin-Saddington received a suspended sentence. The court considered her current health condition, as she is now wheelchair-bound following a fall that occurred after her criminal activities.

Trengrove, who was already serving a 13-year extended sentence for rape and sexual activity with a minor, faced additional consequences due to his relationship with Austin-Saddington. His prison sentence was extended by two years and three months as a result of the scandal, which included details of Austin-Saddington sneaking in a mobile phone for secret communications.
During the court proceedings, it was revealed that Austin-Saddington had saved Trengrove's contact information in her phone as "husband to be." Even after his transfer to HMP Channings Wood in Devon in March 2023, she continued to visit him under an assumed name, demonstrating her deep infatuation.

Prosecutor Robert Bryan provided insight into their relationship, stating that things escalated from a friendly rapport to a sexual relationship between August and September 2022. Trengrove, who was involved in maintenance work around the prison, noted that they would meet in less populated areas, which facilitated their illicit encounters.
After Trengrove's transfer, Austin-Saddington sent him intimate photos, which were intercepted by prison staff. On May 26, she attempted to visit him under a false name, but during a routine pat-down search, officers discovered that she was not wearing any underwear and had an empty syringe hidden in her bra. This led to her arrest.

In her defense, Emily Cook argued that Austin-Saddington should not face jail time due to her deteriorating health. She explained that Austin-Saddington had suffered a serious spinal issue that left her wheelchair-dependent after a fall in February 2024. Cook emphasized that Austin-Saddington takes full responsibility for her actions and feels deep shame and regret over the situation.
This case has raised eyebrows and sparked discussions about the boundaries of relationships between prison staff and inmates, as well as the lengths some individuals will go to for love, even in the most unconventional circumstances.
