When it first premiered in 1998, HBO’s “Sex and the City” was groundbreaking television — it was brutally honest about not only women’s sex lives, but women’s sex lives in their 30s and 40s. While the show’s main quartet of girlfriends had countless ups and downs throughout their navigation of New York’s dating scene, it was Carrie’s relationship with Big that proved to be the most central.
