Congresswoman Nancy Mace Posts Video of Profane Supermarket Argument with 'Unhinged Lunatic': 'F–k You'
The incident unfolded on a Saturday when Mace was approached by a man who accused her of neglecting her responsibilities to hold town halls. The exchange quickly escalated, with Mace labeling the man an “unhinged lunatic” as he confronted her in the aisle of a makeup store.

“I asked if you were doing any this year. It was one simple question,” the man stated, as Mace began recording the encounter. Mace, however, was not having it. “Do you want to keep going? You want to keep harassing me?” she shot back, asserting that he could have attended multiple town halls the previous year.
Mace defended her record, stating that she had already conducted one town hall this year and had held around a dozen last year, promising to host more in the future. “You’re always invited,” she added, trying to diffuse the situation.
In a surprising twist, Mace mentioned her support for gay marriage, saying, “And by the way, I voted for gay marriage twice.” When the man questioned the relevance of her statement, she insisted, “It has everything to do with you.”
The man, clearly frustrated, remarked, “There’s no other humane thing you can talk about me than to say, ‘Oh, I support gay marriage. That’s the whole deal.’” Mace retorted, “Uh-huh, yeah, because you’re getting in my face about a town hall — you could’ve gone last year.”

As the argument continued, the man seemed to shift gears, asking about Mace’s plans for future town halls. “Where were you before that or the year before that? You know what, because you people on the left are crazy. You’re absolutely f—king crazy,” she exclaimed, urging him to back off.
In a dramatic exchange, the man declared that she would be “voted out so fast this year” and called her a “disgrace to the state.” He then returned her earlier sentiment, saying “F—k you” and labeling her a “nasty b—h.” Mace pressed him for his name, but he declined to share it.

As he walked away, Mace reiterated, “F—k you. You couldn’t take me on, baby. Stay the f—k away from me.”

This incident comes on the heels of House GOP leadership encouraging members to conduct more virtual town halls, citing concerns over organized protests against Republicans during public interactions. Mace herself faced backlash last month for skipping a town hall organized by the Lowcountry Accountability Alliance, claiming safety concerns as her reason for not attending.
“We’re staying away because it’s not safe, and we refuse to be bullied by individuals who are threatening me, my employees, and my family,” she stated on social media platform X.
Viral videos have shown Republican representatives facing heckling and aggressive confrontations during town halls, reflecting the heightened tensions surrounding political discourse in the current climate.
Some unhinged lunatic, a man, wearing daisy dukes, at a makeup store, got in my face today. Dems are nuts. So I went off - and I won’t be backing down.

Mace, who was first elected to the House of Representatives in 2020 by a narrow margin, has seen her district redrawn to be more conservative. She successfully won reelection last year by a significant margin of over 16 percentage points.
In a light-hearted moment following the confrontation, Mace quipped on X, “I just wanted some face wash on my afternoon off lol,” showcasing her ability to find humor even in the midst of a heated exchange.
