After the incident, Mitchell casually moved to the snack section and spent about ten minutes sitting on patio furniture before proceeding to the checkout, where he paid for his items and exited the store.

Authorities later arrested him at his residence in the Village of Piedmont, a retirement community known as “Florida’s Friendliest Hometown,” where he resides with his wife.

Mitchell now faces charges of disorderly conduct and criminal mischief, classified as a felony due to the significant damage caused. He has pleaded not guilty and is currently out on a $3,000 bond.
