TO JAMES and Maren, they aren't any different from other heterosexual couples. But other people have often mistaken them for just friends because of the way they look. 22-year-old Jame, who previously identified as gay, is a feminine-presenting man, whilst Maren, 20, is a masculine-presenting woman. Growing up, James came out as gay to his friends and family because it was "easier". When they shared their relationship online, James and Maren faced a lot of judgement as people struggled to comprehend their relationship. But the couple couldn't care less about what others say.
