CASSANDRA Cass is a burlesque dancer who has built a career in Hollywood over the past two decades. However, the COVID lockdown caused her to rethink her priorities and consider a different path. She told Truly, “I’m thinking possibly about moving back to Iowa and starting that family that everyone talks about.” Adding that, “I got the dog during the pandemic and part of me feels like I might be ready for motherhood.” She is a transgender woman who found it difficult to find acceptance growing up in the small rural town where she lived but has now reconciled with family members such as her father after the tragic loss of her brother Corey.
