Katy Perry Loses 'Dark Horse' Copyright Trial To Christian Rapper

A federal jury has decided that Katy Perry's "Dark Horse" improperly copied a 2008 rap song, multiple outlets report. Christian rapper Marcus Gray, who is professionally known as Flame, first filed the copyright infringement lawsuit against Katy in 2014, arguing that her hit single directly borrowed from "Joyful Noise," a song he released years prior.
