Adam Lambert's Stunning New Look Is Turning Heads

When Adam Lambert first hit the scene as a contestant on American Idol, fans noticed more than just his stunning singing voice and captivating stage presence. The man who was obviously born to perform unabashedly embraced a signature look that included dramatically dark eyeliner and super spiky, blue-highlighted hair which fans either adored or couldn't quite understand. Either way, Lambert became a style icon. He told People back in 2009, "It's a really, really cool thing to be able to show people that you can be yourself, and you should be proud of yourself [...] Conforming is not cool. Embracing who you are and what makes you different is actually what's really cool. The kids that are different and out there and expressive and are bold with those choices [...] become really successful in what they do because they believe in who they are." Sometimes when a celebrity makes a drastic change to their look, it's not so much a makeover as it is a make-under. That's exactly what Lambert experienced in 2015, when he decided to tone down some of his style choices. He admitted to Billboard at the time: "If I rewind six years ago to the look I was going for then, I usually roll my eyes and kind of laugh." Ditching the eyeliner and mile-high hair that always seemed to be reaching toward some sort of rock and roll heaven above, Lambert instead started opting for a much simpler aesthetic. He told Billboard at the time, "I've put down a lot of the makeup. I put the flat iron in the attic." He also explained his style inspiration, adding, "I'm looking at people like Elvis and James Dean." Hints of both icons were definitely visible in Lambert's sleek, coiffed hair and fresh face. Lambert said he didn't "tone it down" intentionally. Instead, his style, in his words, "just shifted." Apparently, things have now shifted once again, which is why the singer has changed up his look in a major way. Lambert took to Instagram on February 28th, 2020 to give his followers a glimpse at his new look - which is actually a lot like his original look, only much more sophisticated. Re-embracing makeup, Lambert slays a glamorous golden eye that shimmers with just the right amount of a glittery vibe and is edged with the perfect cat-eye liner. As for his hair, the singer decided to go light this time around, or "Coppertone," as his caption noted. He finished things off with framing facial hair that accentuated the entire vibe. Lambert's fans were definitely into the change. One social media user commented, "More than beautiful." Another called the entertainer "so pretty & sparkly." A third follower added, "Your makeup is always out of this world!!!" Plenty of admirers wanted to know how to steal his style, begging Lambert to teach them how to do their makeup. While Lambert's stunning aesthetic is undeniably popular, let's not forget that he often pairs his elaborate hair and makeup with standout fashion choices. His style is about more than just enviable makeup and headline-worthy hair. Thanks to his bold clothing choices, the singer is also a fashion icon. Whether he's making an appearance at a red carpet industry event or taking the stage to do his thing as a glam-loving pop star, Lambert makes flashy statements with his impressively outrageous outfits. He talked to Billboard about his favorite designer, saying, "I love Margiela, how their stuff fits. Certain lines are for certain body types, and not all of Saint Laurent quite fits me. I'm not a waify little 22-year-old model, as much as sometimes I'd like to be, for fashion's sake. Margiela is cut for, like, men." Though he's no stranger to fancy labels, Lambert's all-time favorite piece of clothing is simple. He told Billboard, "[My] old, white Buddhist Punk T-shirt. It's kind of burnt out with holes all over it; it's something I've had in the closet for 10 years and I keep going back to it." Whatever he's choosing to wear, it's obviously helping the star shine brightly. Watch the video to see how Adam Lambert's Stunning New Look Is Turning Heads #AdamLambert #Queen #AmericanIdol
