The Real Reason Stassi Asked Bravo Not To Fire Her Months Ago

If you've ever wondered what it's like to be fired from a successful reality TV show, Stassi Schroeder could tell you. In June 2020, the now former cast member of Vanderpump Rules was let go by Bravo, the show's network, along with Kristen Doute, Max Boyens, and Brett Caprioni. The news of the firings came after former VR star Faith Stowers revealed that Schroeder and Doute had called the police on her in 2018 and falsely accused her of being a criminal. Boyens and Caprioni were let go in separate incidents after racist tweets from their pasts resurfaced. While Stassi apologized, taking to Instagram to post that she's taking accountability for what she's said and done, that hasn't prevented her from suffering from the consequences of her actions. Those consequences have included being dropped by both her agency and her publicist, as well as, of course, being fired, which is something that she was vocally trying to prevent just months before getting the ax. Not long before she was cut loose from Vanderpump Rules, Stassi took the unusual step of publicly pleading with the Bravo network to never fire her. As we all know now, things didn't work out that way. Back on February 5, 2020, the reality star took to Instagram to write, "Dear Bravo, please never fire me, because I love this s--- so much." The comment came following an appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen during which Stassi made an awkward comment about members of the cast hazing new cast member Scheana Shay after she joined the show. The comment was initially made in jest, but now, it's all too real. In light of Stassi being fired, her fans and followers, and apparently more than a few foes, revisited the post to leave their comments in response to what happened. The audience was pretty divided in their opinions. Some posters came out in support of the star, leaving comments along the lines of, "I hate [that you're] leaving the show...especially when we all know it's your job to stir the pot." Another person wrote, "Sorry you got fired. I enjoyed seeing you grow. Keep looking forward." However, others are clearly not sad to see Stassi go. Some just happily posted the word "Fired," while others made note of what they saw as karmic justice. Whatever the public thinks about what's gone down, it seems pretty safe to assume that Stassi isn't thrilled with the outcome of this particular situation. Stassi not only lost out on what many would consider to be the opportunity of a lifetime, she also ruined her chance to mark an upcoming milestone in her television career. On November 7, 2019, the star took to Instagram to post a promotional image from the show, writing, "January 7th, EIGHT FREAKING YEARS, Y'ALL." That's right, Stassi showed up on the Vanderpump Rules scene back in 2013, and was less than two years away from notching a full decade as a part of the cast. While many surely thought that they'd be seeing the reality star's continued "glow up" and entertaining antics on screen for years to come, it turns out her time was running out. Stassi has made it clear over the years how much she's adored being on the show. An Instagram post that she shared back on November 12, 2018 was proudly captioned, "Started out as servers now we here" On April 14, 2020, Stassi also expressed how she felt about her Bravo gig by sharing a photo of herself in a nun-like outfit with her now-former co-stars. Alongside the pic, she wrote, "I miss this s--- so much." If she missed it then, she's definitely going to be in her feelings about missing out now.
