WHEN doctors told him he would not walk again after a car accident at the age of 16, Nick Scott thought his dreams were over. He felt discouraged and his weight ballooned to over 300lbs. However, the now 37-year-old of San Antonio, Texas, decided to train in the bench press. After powerlifting, Nick entered his first wheelchair bodybuilding competition in 2006 and went onto become champion at the 2014 IFBB Dallas Pro Wheelchair show. Since then, Nick has helped bring wheelchair bodybuilding to a wider platform leading to the 2016 Arnold Classic Pro Wheelchair competition and the Wheelchair Olympia in 2018. Nick became a professional speaker in 2005, touring around the United States and the world, sharing his story and encouraging others. Nick told Truly: “After my car accident, I changed my life from a tragedy to triumph.”
