Natanael Cano: Up Next Interview | Apple Music
Sep 09 2020
“I was hungry,” Natanael Cano tells Apple Music. “I wanted to stand out and I wanted to be somebody.” Born in Hermosilla, Sonora, the 19-year-old Música Mexicana artist instinctively knew from a young age that he would successfully pursue a career in music. Receiving his first guitar at the age of 11 as a gift from his father, he soon began singing at parties, on the streets, and anywhere else that suited him. Eventually, he began writing his own original songs and releasing them online. When some of the music videos for these tracks went viral, he knew for certain that he was on the right path. In an interview with Apple Music’s El Guru, he discusses his diverse new album, what it means to be part of “La Clika,” and his thoughts on being the first Up Next artist representing Mexico.
