Natanael Cano: Up Next Film Preview | Apple Music
Sep 10 2020
“I was hungry,” Natanael Cano tells Apple Music. “I wanted to stand out and I wanted to be somebody.” Born in Hermosilla, Sonora, the 19-year-old Música Mexicana artist instinctively knew from a young age that he would successfully pursue a career in music. Receiving his first guitar at the age of 11 as a gift from his father, he soon began singing at parties, on the streets, and anywhere else that suited him. Eventually, he began writing his own original songs and releasing them online. When some of the music videos for these tracks went viral, he knew for certain that he was on the right path. In his Up Next film, Cano talks about his decision to leave Sonora for Los Angeles, his claim over the signature Corridos Tumbados sound, and how he learned that Bad Bunny was his biggest fan.
