I’m The Highest Level Player In Overwatch - Now I’m Training My Mum | TOTALLY GAME

Nov 18 2020
THE HIGHEST-level Overwatch player in the world has taken on his greatest challenge yet: training his mum to play the game. David Norris, who goes by ‘TreeBoyDave’ online, has racked up around 18,000 hours of gameplay in Overwatch, reaching an incredible level of 11,908. The impressive feat took Dave four years, with the ambitious streamer estimating he’s likely played around 100,000 matches of Blizzard’s popular online shooter. The 33-year-old, of Cheltenham, UK, told Truly: “When I started streaming, I think I was in the top 20 in terms of levels in the world, and I was very surprised when I looked at the leaderboards for levels. I didn't expect to be anywhere near the top, and when I saw I was in the top 20 I was like ‘wow, what is this? Can I get any higher?’ So it just kept going and saw my world ranking slowly rise.” The former IT help-desk worker has been playing Overwatch since it released back in 2016, and has constantly broken records for being the highest-level player. In February 2018 Dave became the first player in the world to hit level 5,000, before becoming the first to reach level 10,000 in October 2019. Recently he decided to give himself a real challenge by trying to teach his mother to play his favorite game. Dave proved his Overwatch credentials by actually managing to not only get his mum a kill, but level her up during her first ever Overwatch experience.
