"Promising Young Woman" director Emerald Fennell and star Carey Mulligan sit with Variety to share how they created and delivered Fennell's feature directorial debut. Backed by Margot Robbie's LuckyChap Entertainment, the movie follows Cassie (Mulligan), a young woman leading a double life as she serves coffee by day and shaming predatory men by night. The film is scheduled to premiere in select theaters on Christmas Day.
