Inside Dakota Fanning And Elle Fanning's Sibling Relationship

It's almost impossible not to peg actors Dakota Fanning and Elle Fanning as sisters. Besides sharing the family name, the two look almost exactly alike. And while they have plenty of love between them these days, some interviews the sisters have given over the years suggest that their relationship hasn't always exactly been smooth sailing. Just like most siblings throughout all of time, the Fanning sisters haven't always gotten along, and the four year age gap didn't help. Dakota revealed to Marie Claire in 2017, "There are a few years where you're both experiencing such different things; age nine and 13 — nothing in common; 12 and 16 — we didn't know what to do with each other. Now, as [Elle is] getting older and I'm getting older, we're getting closer […] and that's really lovely." While most of us probably fought with our siblings at one point or another, it's perhaps a little comforting to know that even the biggest stars disagree with their family members from time to time. Younger sister Elle explained to Nylon in 2015, "When we were little, we would fight all the time. I'm taller, so I would be the one beating her up."
