The Way Trump Referred To Melania At CPAC Is Causing A Stir

Donald Trump made his first official speech since leaving the White House at the Conservative Political Action Conference in Orlando, Florida, on Sunday, February 28th. While his wife, Melania Trump , was not in attendance to support her husband, Trump did mention the former first lady by referring to her as "the future first lady," according to The Daily Mail. Some believe this is a sure sign that the former president plans on running again in 2024, and his remarks have people talking. This isn't the only way Trump teased a political comeback. According to TMZ, he finished his speech by saying, "With your help we will take back the House. We will win the Senate. And then a Republican President will make a triumphant return to the White House. And I wonder who that will be?" Trump's potential return to the White House is exactly why some politicians were worried after the twice-impeached president was acquitted on charges of inciting the insurrection that happened at the Capitol on January 6th, 202. While nothing has been confirmed, you might be wondering if Melania is just as excited to get back to the White House? She hasn't made an official public appearance since she left D.C. on January 20th. She didn't attend CPAC, even though the conference was being held close to her Mar-a-Lago home in Florida, and according to The Daily Star, she also didn't attend a Super Bowl party with her husband earlier this month either. The disconnect between the two has some people wondering if there is a divorce in their future. A celebrity dating expert in the U.K., Lady Nadia Essex, claims Donald and Melania Trump have "zero chemistry" together and Melania's body language toward her husband is "very hostile." CNN also reported that Melania has been "bitter and chilly" toward her husband due to the insurrection and impeachment trial that happened at the end of his term. If any of the divorce rumors are accurate, it would appear Trump's "future first lady" comments are more cheeky than they are true. Although the former first couple has been plagued by divorce rumors for years, they actually did end up spending Valentine's Day together, as evidenced by a fan's Instagram posts from inside the dining room at Mar-a-Lago. The Trumps posed for photos, albeit separately, and seemed to be having a romantic night alongside Don Jr. despite the fact Melania neglected to mention her husband in a festive message earlier that day. It's worth noting the event marked the first time the former president was spotted with his wife since they vacated the White House and arrived back in Florida. Melania has been enjoying her post-presidency life by spending plenty of time in the spa. As an insider told CNN, the Trumps have dinner together each night but spend their days apart. And, although many fans took the former commander-in-chief's "future first lady" comments as proof the couple was one day planning to head back to the White House, Melania isn't fully onboard with that plan. It's worth noting, too, that several Twitter users believe Trump was simply reminiscing about being on the campaign trail back in 2015. Following the damning CNN report, the official Twitter account for the Office of Melania Trump responded; "Mrs. Trump is no longer First Lady. She is a private citizen, mother, & wife. Sources in this article are not affiliated [with] her nor have insight into her thoughts or daily life." The official statement also criticized, "the media's unhealthy obsession" with Melania. It was evident throughout Trump's tenure that his wife was uncomfortable speaking publicly about political affairs, infamously waiting almost a week to comment on the violent insurrection he's accused of inciting. Although the Trumps continue to dodge divorce rumors and put on a somewhat united front, as far as Essex is concerned, the writing is on the wall. The former coach on popular UK reality dating show Celebs Go Dating advised Daily Express, "I don't believe either of them are happy in the relationship. [...] She clearly does not want to be in his company." Pointing to Melania's frequently cited refusal to hold her husband's hand in public. Essex reckons divorce is imminent, suggesting the couple lives separate lives and are "only really married by name." #MelaniaTrump #DonaldTrump #CPAC
