In a time of quarantine the “Truffle Hunters” documentary is a heavenly delicacy meant to be savored. But how did directors Michael Dweck and Gregory Kershaw convince the elusive truffle hunters of the Italian forest of Piedmont to agree to be filmed? Dweck and Kershaw joined Variety's Doc Dreams, presented by National Geographic, to share their experience and describe the loving relationship between their most secretive truffle hunter, Aurelio Conterno, and his adorable, scene-stealing dog Birba.
