When Ellen DeGeneres leaves daytime TV next year, her time slot will be filled by none other than Kelly Clarkson! "The Kelly Clarkson Show" has been selected to take over "The Ellen DeGeneres Show's" coveted time slot on NBC-owned stations in 2022. "We look forward to Ellen DeGeneres' 19th season paired with Kelly Clarkson for what is sure to be a blockbuster year. By 2022, The Kelly Clarkson Show will be the star of our daytime entertainment schedules and an asset to our early afternoon newscasts," President of NBCUniversal Local Valari Staab told The Hollywood Reporter.
