Christiane Amanpour Has Ovarian Cancer

Christiane Amanpour is going public with her cancer battle. While returning to her anchor duties after four weeks off the air, the famed journalist told CNN viewers that she had been diagnosed with ovarian cancer. "I've had successful major surgery to remove it and I'm now undergoing several months of chemotherapy for the very best possible long-term prognosis, and I'm confident," she shared, adding that she urged other women "to educate themselves on this disease, to get all of the regular screenings and scans that you can."
