Machine Gun Kelly OFFENDS Mac Miller’s Family & Forced To Change Movie Title?! | Hollywire

Jul 03 2021
The movie “Good News” title has been changed after Mac Miller’s family took offense. Mac Miller’s brother slammed this movie’s title - as it’s the same as Mac’s debut single. This movie starring Machine Gun Kelly is not a Mac Miller bio-pic, rather inspired by a slew of late rappers, including Mac. Mac’s brother, Miller McCormick, responded to the announcement of this project by posting on his Instagram story, “f--- you, f-- your movie, at least change the title.” Rivulet Media, the production company behind this movie, responded to Miller in a statement confirming they are changing the title by saying, “Our film is about a fictional musician on the rise with a troubled life, it’s not in any way a biopic or based on an artist’s true life. We realize the title which was intended as a homage to Mac Miller and other artists gone too soon, feels disrespectful. We’ve heard from many people on social media who have found offense with the title so without hesitation we will change it.” ⭐
