Jill Duggar & Derick Dillard Speak Out On ‘Counting On’ Cancellation

Jul 07 2021
Jill Duggar and husband Derick Dillard addressed the cancellation of the TLC show, “Counting On.” In a new statement posted on their website on Tuesday, the reality stars, who exited the show in 2017 amid Derick’s transphobic online comments, spoke out about the popular series coming to an end. “Our statement about the cancellation of 'Counting On' is a little late because we just learned the news with the rest of the world last Tuesday + this season of life is quite busy for us. We first heard of the cancellation when both a friend & a cousin each texted us after seeing TLC's statement online. We do not know how long the cancellation had been planned,” the couple wrote in part, in their joint statement. Jill and Derick have become more vocal about their exit from the show over the last year and Jill admitted in October that she and her parents Jim Bob and Michelle are “not on the best of terms” and shared back then that she had not visited her parents’ Jim Bob and Michelle at home in several years.
