Jul 27 2021
Lydia Jacoby won gold while wearing some pretty special goggles! After the 17-year-old won the top spot in the 100-meter breaststroke at the Tokyo Olympics, she told Access Hollywood's Scott Evans what the big win means to her. Lydia also revealed that she won gold while wearing her childhood goggles, which originally belonged to former Olympic swimmer Jessica Hardy. "Jessica Hardy has been a huge inspiration for me. She was the world record holder in my event for a long time. She came and did a clinic with us a few years ago and we've stayed in touch ever since ... I actually race in her goggles," Lydia told Access Hollywood.
