We all love watching large-scale destruction on the biggest screen possible… but what type of destruction do we love watching the most? That’s what we’re asking in a very special – read: very explosive and city-flattening – episode of ‘Vs.’ devoted to that most jaw-dropping of blockbuster genres: the disaster movie. In this episode, rather than look at specific movies, we’re looking at disaster subgenres – space movies, man-made mistakes, weather-related havoc, and a wild card group. And to determine which subgenre is the most disaster-y (and wonderful to watch), we’re comparing them by box office, Tomatometer and Audience Scores, the iconic-ness of their characters, and the level of destruction they depict. So, will Mother Nature come out on top? Or will the follies of man prevail? Or will our victor come from outer space? Tune in to find out, then unleash your tidal wave of disagreement in the comments below.
