Howie Mandel On Norm Macdonald’s Passing: ‘It Broke My Heart, It Shocked Me’

Howie Mandel spoke to Access Hollywood at the “America’s Got Talent” finale episode red carpet where he reflected on the passing of Norm Macdonald. “We came out of the same club and anytime I got to work with Norm and anytime I spent with Norm, we didn’t even have to be on stage, were the most enjoyable moments,” Howie said. Adding, “He was the most pure, authentic, legitimately funny guy even without his act. He was probably one of the most brilliant people I’ve ever met that constantly kept me smiling. When I heard what happened today it broke my heart, it shocked me.” The winner of “AGT” will be crowned in a two-hour live telecast on Wednesday, Sept. 15.
