Shawn Mendes Gives An Update On His Mental Health
Oct 04 2022
Shawn Mendes and Javier Bardem had a special first meeting at the 2022 Oscars. "He introduced himself so nicely, because he’s such a nice person, and I was starstruck. Like, 'Oh my God, that’s Shawn Mendes,'" Javier told Access Hollywood. "I said Javier, nice to meet you I'm Lyle," Shawn added. The pair are co-starring in "Lyle, Lyle, Crocodile," where Shawn lends his voice to the lovable croc, Lyle. The Grammy nominee talked to Access about the challenges of voicing a character who can only sing. Javier also had some challenges of his own—he had to sing and dance for the role. He opened up to Access about preparing for the role and revealed if his two kids, who he shares with wife Penelope Cruz, want to go into the entertainment industry. Shawn also gave an update on how he is doing, months after he canceled his tour to for mental health reasons. "Lyle, Lyle Crocodile" is exclusively in theaters on Oct. 7.
