Confronting the key suspect of an Italian tourist's unsolved beach murder | 60 Minutes Australia

Apr 19 2023
On October 11, 1995, Italian tourist Victoria Cafasso was killed in a frenzied attack on Tasmania's Beaumaris Beach in Australia. The 20-year-old woman was stabbed to death so badly, she was almost scalped. It's one of this country's most baffling unsolved murder cases. Victoria Cafasso's killer has never been found. In a 2009 60 Minutes special investigation, Liam Bartlett put together startling new evidence that points to one of the original suspects in the murder case - a doctor named Roman Hasil. For over forty years, 60 Minutes have been telling Australians the world’s greatest stories. Tales that changed history, our nation and our lives. Reporters Liz Hayes, Tom Steinfort, Tara Brown, Nick McKenzie and Amelia Adams look past the headlines because there is always a bigger picture. Sundays are for 60 Minutes. #60MinutesAustralia
