One Logies night, a young soapie star thought he had it made. Life was oh-so-sweet for the winner of the Most Popular New Talent Award. I'd bet no one in the room thought he'd end up one of the biggest television stars in the world. But that's what happened to Simon Baker. At its peak, 20 million Americans would sit down to watch him in his top rating show The Mentalist. He's been called The Sexiest Man on TV, the new Errol Flynn. And even the new George Clooney. Well, like Flynn, he was born in Tasmania. And like Clooney, women do swoon over him. But Karl Stefanovic found he's still one of the boys.
For over forty years, 60 Minutes have been telling Australians the world’s greatest stories. Tales that changed history, our nation and our lives. Reporters Liz Hayes, Tom Steinfort, Tara Brown, Nick McKenzie and Amelia Adams look past the headlines because there is always a bigger picture. Sundays are for 60 Minutes.
