Mum and daughter womb transplant story has an exciting development | 60 Minutes Australia
May 21 2023
When Kirsty Bryant became the first Australian to receive a womb transplant, she made medical history. So did the donor - Kirsty' very generous mum, Michelle, who when she was asked, gave up her own uterus without question โฆ or complaint.
As Nine's Sylvia Jeffreys reported back in February the complicated operation was a great success. But of course, it wasn't the end of the story. There were no guarantees Kirsty's new womb would work in its new home.
Well now we know.
For over forty years, 60 Minutes have been telling Australians the worldโs greatest stories. Tales that changed history, our nation and our lives. Reporters Liz Hayes, Tom Steinfort, Tara Brown, Nick McKenzie and Amelia Adams look past the headlines because there is always a bigger picture. Sundays are for 60 Minutes.
