Former pornstar-turned-influencer Mia Khalifa has joined the ongoing debate about the superiority of Threads or Twitter. Khalifa, a 30-year-old Lebanese American, took to Instagram and Threads to express her opinion on the matter. Threads, a new app developed by Meta (the parent company of Instagram), has already gained 20 million members since its recent launch. The app aims to compete with Twitter, but is currently in its basic form and lacks popular features like an edit function. Despite not being a fan of either side, Khalifa is curious to know which one is worse.

In a thread, she commented, "We are not allowed to use profanity here, but at least our likes are not visible to the public like on Twitter... I'm not sure which is worse." Sharing the thread on Instagram, she expressed, "Which option do we choose????". Fans swiftly weighed in on the discussion, also noting that one of Mia's claims regarding the use of certain words on the new app might be inaccurate.

One person expressed their indifference towards the use of profanity, suggesting that the platform they were on likely didn't care either. They mentioned that if the platform did care, they might consider refraining from using such language, or they might not care at all. Another person compared Twitter to the Dark Web and threads to internet browsers like Chrome and Safari. A third individual expressed frustration by repeatedly using expletives and questioned why they had not been banned yet.

Another person commented, stating that Twitter has been downgraded to Truth Social, a legitimate social media platform. They expressed gratitude towards Threads for saving them.
