Gun-loving hunters calling themselves "greenie with a gun" | 60 Minutes Australia

REWIND BACK TO 2009 shooters were finally re-emerging, after keeping their heads down following the Port Arthur massacre. A growing number of Australians, many of them from the city, many of them families, are taking up arms for recreation and fun. And that's prompted a whole new gun debate, with the shooting lobby trying to reinvent itself as a band of modern eco-warriors doing their bit to wipe out feral animals. With untold millions of wild foxes, dogs, cats, rabbits, goats, pigs and even deer, there's certainly no shortage of targets.
For over forty years, 60 Minutes have been telling Australians the world’s greatest stories. Tales that changed history, our nation and our lives. Reporters Liz Hayes, Tom Steinfort, Tara Brown, Nick McKenzie and Amelia Adams look past the headlines because there is always a bigger picture. Sundays are for 60 Minutes.
