Rewind to 2009 when mobster John A. Gotti, the son of the ‘Dapper Don’ mafia head John Gotti, was on trial for racketeering. His former associate John Alite is the main witness in a trial that could’ve marked the end of the American Mafia. In December 2009, after this 60 Minutes Australia episode aired, John A. Gotti was released after the jury was unable to reach a unanimous verdict.
For over forty years, 60 Minutes have been telling Australians the world’s greatest stories. Tales that changed history, our nation and our lives. Reporters Liz Hayes, Tom Steinfort, Tara Brown, Nick McKenzie and Amelia Adams look past the headlines because there is always a bigger picture. Sundays are for 60 Minutes.
