Seth MacFarlane Interview: Ted Series, The Orville, and The Naked Gun Reboot with Liam Neeson
Jan 05 2024
Seth MacFarlane, the creator of the hit R-rated comedy Ted, is bringing the beloved characters back in a new series on Peacock. The show, also titled Ted, takes audiences back to the high school years of John Bennett and his talking teddy bear, Ted, in 1993. The series explores the trials and tribulations of teenage life as John's family forces Ted to attend high school with him. The cast includes Max Burkholder as John, with Alanna Ubach, Scott Grimes, and Giorgia Whigham playing John's family members.
In a recent interview with Collider's Steve Weintraub, MacFarlane discussed the continuation of the Ted franchise as a series. He shared insights on pushing the boundaries of comedy, his lack of concern about potentially offending viewers, and the possibility of Mark Wahlberg making a guest appearance on the show. MacFarlane also teased about his upcoming projects, including more of his sci-fi comedy series, The Orville, his plans for 2024, and an update on The Naked Gun reboot with Liam Neeson.
