Vincent D'Onofrio Interview: Echo and Kingpin's New Tech on the Show
Jan 12 2024
Disney+ introduces Echo, the newest addition to the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). The series stars Alaqua Cox as Maya Lopez, Marvel Studios' first deaf and Native American series lead. Echo's origin story will be explored in the five-episode series, which is the first under the Marvel Spotlight banner. The show will also bring back Vincent D'Onofrio as Kingpin, the fan-favorite supervillain. D'Onofrio discusses working with director Sydney Freeland and reprising his role as Fisk in an interview with Collider's Steve Weintraub. He believes that the darker tone of the TV-MA rating suits his character best and praises the writing and direction of the series. D'Onofrio also expresses excitement about returning to Daredevil: Born Again, the series reboot, and his trust in the changes made during the overhaul.
