Jan 15 2024
Jason Momoa, known for his roles as Kahl Drogo in Game of Thrones, Dante Reyes in Fast X, and Aquaman in DC films, is set to release a docuseries called On the Roam in 2023. The eight-part series will delve into Momoa's life outside of Hollywood, exploring his passions as an actor, writer, producer, and director. In an interview with Collider, Momoa discusses how he merged his passions with his craft and reveals the secret behind his iconic smoldering gaze.
On the Roam was filmed over three years and follows Momoa as he travels to reconnect with his interests, such as motorcycles, unique jewelry pieces, and guitars. The series showcases the work of various craftsmen, including a conversation with Guns N' Roses' Slash. Momoa describes the project as a labor of love, with each episode requiring extensive shooting time to capture the essence of the craftsmen and their creations.
Momoa originally developed On the Roam for Discovery before the Warner Bros. merge. He explains how the series allowed him to explore his different obsessions and how they could intertwine. The decision to span the series over several years was driven by Momoa's desire to work with his personal idols and showcase their abilities. He also expresses his hopes for a second season of the show.
In this interview, Momoa provides insights into his creative process and the behind-the-scenes work that goes into creating iconic characters like Aquaman and Dante Reyes. On the Roam promises to offer fans a deeper understanding of the man behind these formidable roles and his passions beyond the silver screen.
