Exploring Australia's Dark Past: The Moogai Interview with Shari Sebbens, Meyne Wyatt, and Bella Heathcote
Feb 05 2024
Jon Bell's directorial debut, The Moogai, is a horror film that explores the dark history of Australia's Stolen Generations. The story revolves around Sarah and Fergus, a young Aboriginal couple who are tormented by a malevolent spirit following the birth of their second child. As Sarah becomes convinced that the spirit is trying to harm their child, Fergus questions whether the threat is real or a manifestation of Sarah's mental state. In this interview, Shari Sebbens, Meyne Wyatt, and Bella Heathcote discuss their experiences working on the film and share their thoughts on the horror genre.
