Cold-Case Killer Confronted by Family at Toronto Sentencing: "Your Free Life is Over"
Mar 05 2024
Families and friends of Susan Tice and Erin Gilmour confronted convicted killer Joseph George Sutherland in a Toronto courtroom, expressing the pain and grief caused by the unsolved murders of the two women in 1983. Sutherland, who had lived a free life for nearly four decades, was finally brought to justice in 2021 after DNA evidence linked him to the crimes. The families of the victims shared how the brutal killings had left them scared, empty, and grief-stricken for years. They made it clear to Sutherland that his days of freedom were over.
