Little Wing: Director Dean Israelite, John Gatins, Susan Orlean, and Naomi Despres Interview on Paramount+ Release

Mar 14 2024
Little Wing, a coming-of-age drama inspired by a peculiar 2006 story in The New Yorker, is set to be released on Paramount+. The film, starring Brian Cox from Succession, spent 17 years in production limbo before being shot in just eight weeks with a dedicated cast and crew. Director Dean Israelite, screenwriter John Gatins, producer Susan Orlean, and executive producer Naomi Despres discuss the challenges of bringing this heavy material to the screen, Steven Spielberg's initial interest in the story, the importance of Portland and music in the film, and the casting process. Little Wing also features Brookynn Prince, Kelly Reilly, Che Tafari, and Simon Khan in his debut role.
