Bridget Moynahan took to Instagram to share a cryptic quote after her ex, Tom Brady, faced jokes about their past relationship in a Netflix comedy special.
In the special, titled “Greatest Roast of All Time: Tom Brady,” the NFL star was criticized for ending their relationship while Moynahan was pregnant with their son, Jack, back in 2006.
The quote shared by Moynahan read, “Loyal people take s–t more personal because they never would’ve did that s–t to you,” with the actress adding “So true” in the caption.
Comedian Nikki Glaser also made jokes about the split, poking fun at Brady for not realizing Moynahan was pregnant. Glaser joked, “It’s hard to walk away from something that isn’t your pregnant girlfriend.”
The actress and the Super Bowl champion were first linked in 2004 and confirmed their breakup in 2006. Shortly after, Moynahan revealed she was pregnant with Brady’s child, while he had already moved on to Gisele Bündchen.
Moynahan and Brady welcomed their son, Jack, in 2007. Brady went on to marry Bündchen in 2009, and they have continued to co-parent their children.
Both Moynahan and Bündchen have spoken about the situation in interviews, with Moynahan expressing how the experience turned her life upside down but ultimately led to the best thing in the world – her child.
Bündchen also reflected on the challenging time in her memoir, “Lessons: My Path to a Meaningful Life,” calling it a period of growth. Despite their divorce, she continues to support Jack as her “bonus child.”
