The Duchess of Sussex, aged 42, radiated elegance in the flowy yellow maxi gown paired with nude slingback heels as she attended a reception at the State Governor House in Lagos alongside her husband, Prince Harry.
Markle, with her hair elegantly pinned up, accessorized her look with stunning gold jewelry, reminiscent of pieces worn by her late mother-in-law, Princess Diana, during a visit to the same country in 1991.
Prince Harry, aged 39, complemented his wife's style in a beige blazer, white button-up shirt, black tie, and slacks.
In a heartwarming fashion flashback, images from Markle and Harry’s Netflix docuseries captured the Duchess in the same dress celebrating Archie’s milestone birthday in May 2020, this time without any jewelry and with her hair styled straight.
Besides Archie, the royal couple also shares a 2-year-old daughter, Princess Lilibet.
Markle and Harry’s recent visit to Africa was at the invitation of Nigeria’s Chief of Defense Staff, General Christopher Gwabin Musa OFR.
Prior to the reception, the couple visited Ilupeju Senior Grammar School to witness the Giants of Africa basketball exhibition, showcasing their commitment to youth empowerment.
Upon their arrival in Lagos from Abuja, the couple was greeted with a traditional dance performance by local dancers at the airport.
Markle arrived in a white button-up shirt paired with a traditional Nigerian skirt received during their visit, while Harry maintained his attire from the reception.
Throughout their stay, Markle made bold fashion statements, including a backless peach dress by Heidi Merrick accessorized with vintage gold Lanvin button earrings.
