Nikki Glaser Responds to Gisele Bündchen's Reaction to Tom Brady Roast Jokes
Nikki Glaser has shared her thoughts on Gisele Bündchen's reaction to the jokes made in "The Roast of Tom Brady."
After reports surfaced that Gisele Bündchen felt "disappointed" by the jokes, Glaser acknowledged that she would feel the same if she were in Bündchen's shoes.
"I mean, I would be disappointed in me if I were Gisele as well," Glaser, 39, told Vanity Fair in a recent interview.
The host of "FBoy Island" defended her decision to bring up Brady's ex-wife during the Netflix special, explaining that she tried to mention Bündchen's name as minimally as possible.
Glaser elaborated, "In my final joke about her, I said, 'ex-wife.' I tried not to mention her name as much as possible, but he’s a part of her story."
"That’s how I rationalize talking about someone who did not ask to be part of this conversation," she added.
Glaser specifically addressed her joke about Bündchen "getting her ass eaten by her new boyfriend," Joaquim Valente, emphasizing that it was meant in jest.
"I think that even though that’s probably a visual that she would want out there, it’s a joke," Glaser noted. "It’s not like I’m saying I witnessed it, or it happened."
She humorously added that the jab should "feel pretty good, actually," as it was a light-hearted jest.
During the roast, Glaser also mentioned Brady's ex Bridget Moynahan, with whom he shares a son, Jack, 16.
Moynahan famously revealed her pregnancy news in 2007 after her breakup with Brady, who was already dating Bündchen at the time.
Brady and Bündchen share two children, Benjamin, 14, and Vivian, 11, before announcing their split in 2022.
Kevin Hart also joined in on the jokes, poking fun at Bündchen's relationship with her jiu-jitsu instructor and Brady's obliviousness to the romance.
Glaser later clarified on "The Howard Stern Show" that she and her fellow comedians made an effort not to target Brady's children in their jokes, with her opting to cut a joke about Jack kissing his dad.
