Former Nickelodeon Star Lori Beth Denberg Accuses Producer of Misconduct
Former "All That" star Lori Beth Denberg has come forward with disturbing allegations against ex-Nickelodeon producer Dan Schneider. Denberg, now 48, claims that Schneider showed her porn, initiated phone sex, and engaged in inappropriate behavior while she was a teenager starring on the popular sketch comedy show.
Denberg alleges that Schneider's misconduct began when he invited her into his office under the guise of offering support after a conversation about her weight gain with a female producer. She claims that he played porn for her during their meeting, marking the beginning of his inappropriate behavior towards her.
According to Denberg, Schneider continued to watch porn with her on multiple occasions, even watching it in her presence at his Los Angeles home after filming for "All That" moved from Orlando to Los Angeles. The former child star also alleges that Schneider crossed boundaries during a game night, where he allegedly fondled her breasts and engaged in inappropriate behavior.
Denberg further claims that Schneider would often bring up sexual topics during phone conversations and initiated phone sex with her. She also recalls instances of Schneider being aggressive on set, changing her lines last minute, and creating a toxic work environment for her.
In response to Denberg's accusations, Schneider has denied the allegations, stating that her memories are exaggerated and false. He acknowledges past mistakes but maintains that he did not engage in the behaviors described by Denberg.
These allegations come in the wake of other accusations against Schneider, including claims of creating a toxic work environment and engaging in inappropriate behavior with young actors. The entertainment industry continues to grapple with issues of misconduct and abuse, shedding light on the need for accountability and change.
