Former 'Southern Charm' Star Kathryn Dennis Arrested for DUI After Three-Car Collision
Former "Southern Charm" star Kathryn Dennis found herself in hot water on Monday night after being arrested for driving under the influence. The incident occurred following a three-car collision in Goose Creek, S.C., where authorities noted Dennis' "glossy eyes and an odor of alcohol coming from her person," as reported by TMZ.
According to reports, the 32-year-old reality TV alum was booked for a DUI and for driving with an open container. Dennis has yet to provide a statement in response to the incident.
This isn't the first time Dennis has faced issues related to substance abuse. In August 2019, she openly admitted to not being fully sober and still consuming alcohol during an appearance on "Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen."
Despite her struggles, Dennis clarified that she refrains from illegal substances but acknowledged her ongoing battle with alcohol. In the past, she was required to undergo rehab in Malibu, Calif., as part of her custody agreement with ex Thomas Ravenel, with whom she shares two children.
Ravenel has been vocal about Dennis' alleged drug use, leading to a contentious custody battle between the former couple. He has accused her of being addicted to various substances, including prescription medications, marijuana, alcohol, shopping, and sex.
Last year, Dennis was involved in another incident when her car was reportedly part of a hit-and-run at an elementary school. Despite the allegations, she was not arrested in connection with the incident. Dennis departed from the "Southern Charm" cast in 2023 after appearing on the show for eight seasons.
