King Charles III Allegedly Sent Supportive Message to Kevin Spacey Amidst Scandal

Jun 12 2024

Kevin Spacey hinted at a possible supportive message from King Charles III during a recent interview, shedding light on a potentially unexpected source of comfort amidst the actor's ongoing sex scandals.

In a recent episode of "Piers Morgan Uncensored," Spacey, who resided in London from 2004 to 2015, commended the monarch for his work with the Prince's Trust charity, which aids individuals aged 11 to 30 in building confidence, securing employment, and launching businesses.

When questioned by the show's host, Piers Morgan, about whether King Charles III had reached out to him during the scandal's peak, Spacey initially evaded a direct response, stating, "No, I haven't heard from him directly, no."

However, upon further probing from Morgan, Spacey, who received an honorary knighthood from then-Prince Charles in June 2016, hinted at indirect communication, acknowledging, "That may be true."

Confirming the existence of a message from the king, Spacey expressed gratitude for the support conveyed through it.

While Spacey refrained from delving further into the details, he disclosed that he had composed a letter to King Charles III, which remained unsent.

Spacey's career took a drastic turn in October 2017 when actor Anthony Rapp accused him of sexual misconduct, alleging an incident that occurred in 1986 when Rapp was 14 and Spacey was 26.

Following the accusation, Spacey issued an apology for his behavior, although he claimed no recollection of the specific encounter. He also publicly came out as gay in the same statement.

Despite the apology, Rapp filed a lawsuit against Spacey in September 2020. However, in October 2022, a jury ruled in favor of Spacey, finding him not liable.

Subsequently, multiple individuals came forward with their own allegations of sexual abuse against Spacey, which he vehemently denied.

As a consequence of the allegations, Netflix and several members of Spacey's team severed ties with him. Additionally, he was ordered to pay nearly $31 million to the production studio behind "House of Cards" for violating the company's sexual harassment policy.

In a separate incident, an unnamed masseur filed a lawsuit against Spacey in September 2018, alleging sexual assault in Malibu in 2016. Tragically, the accuser passed away a year later.

Spacey faced further legal challenges when he was charged with a felony for allegedly assaulting journalist Heather Unruh's son in Massachusetts in 2016. However, the charge was dropped in July 2019.

In May 2022, Spacey faced four counts of sexual assault in the UK, stemming from incidents between 2005 and 2013 during his tenure as the artistic director at the Old Vic theater. Additional charges were later added, but Spacey was found not guilty by a jury in July 2023.

Despite the tumultuous events surrounding his career, Spacey hinted at a message of support from King Charles III, offering a glimpse into a potentially unexpected source of solace amidst the storm.
