Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce Sweep Kids’ Choice Awards with Four Wins!
Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce had a night to remember at Nickelodeon’s 2024 Kids’ Choice Awards, clinching an impressive four wins collectively. Despite their absence at the ceremony, the duo's star power shone brightly as Swift, 34, dominated the awards with three accolades: Favorite Female Artist, Favorite Global Music Star, and Favorite Ticket of the Year for her Eras Tour. On the other hand, Kelce, also 34, secured the award for Favorite Male Sports Star.
Their triumph at the Kids’ Choice Awards coincided with a busy day for both Swift and Kelce. While Swift was captivating audiences in Milan with her Eras Tour, Kelce was showcasing his skills at the 2024 American Century Celebrity Golf Championship in Nevada.
Kelce’s victory at the KCA fulfilled a playful prediction made by his brother, Jason Kelce, who humorously hinted at Travis’s inevitable win just days before the event. Competing against sports giants like Patrick Mahomes, Cristiano Ronaldo, Lionel Messi, LeBron James, and Stephen Curry, Jason was confident about his brother’s chances.
“If it’s kids voting, you’re winning this by a landslide,” Jason joked on a podcast episode. Travis, inquisitive about his chances, received a reassuring response from Jason, who highlighted the adoration of young fans for the couple.
Jason humorously suggested handing Travis the award right away, to which the tight end pledged to continue being a positive influence on the younger generation. “I’ll make sure I keep influencing the kids to do the right things in this world,” Travis affirmed.
Swift and Kelce, who went public with their relationship in summer 2023, have been going strong despite the challenges of long-distance. The couple consistently supports each other, with Swift recently showing her pride for Kelce when he was named the NFL’s best tight end by ESPN.
Swift’s subtle nod to Kelce’s achievement was evident when she liked the Kansas City Chiefs’ Instagram post celebrating his title. The post humorously praised Kelce’s skills, drawing a parallel to a line in Swift’s song “So High School” from The Tortured Poets Department.
“You know how to ball, I know Aristotle,” she sings in the track, showcasing her witty connection to Kelce’s sporting success. Kelce, a regular at Swift’s concerts, has been seen enthusiastically participating in the performances from the VIP section and even making a cameo on stage.
“Taylor’s shows are unbelievable,” Kelce shared in an interview, encouraging fans to experience the magic of her live performances. The couple’s bond continues to captivate fans with their unwavering support and adorable moments together.
