Wiz Khalifa, the young, wild, and free rapper, found himself in hot water after being charged with illegal drug possession in Romania. The incident occurred during his performance at the Beach Please! Festival, where he reportedly used marijuana on stage.


The Romanian anti-organized crime prosecutors DIICOT released a statement confirming the initiation of criminal proceedings against Khalifa for unlawful possession of drugs. He was found with over 18 grams of cannabis and was seen consuming more cannabis in the form of a craft cigarette during his performance.
Following the festival, Khalifa and others were taken in for questioning but he was later released. Possession of marijuana in Romania carries a penalty of up to 10 years in prison, highlighting the seriousness of the situation.


In a video circulating online, Khalifa can be seen being escorted by Romanian police officers from the festival grounds. Despite the charges, Khalifa expressed his respect for Romania and vowed to return without any controversial incidents.
