Adventure awaits in Gremlins: The Wild Batch! This animated prequel to the classic Gremlins flicks takes viewers to 1920s Shanghai, where a young Sam Wing (Izaac Wang) meets the adorable Mogwai, Gizmo (A.J. LoCascio). Sam must return Gizmo home, but things quickly take a wild turn. Alongside street-smart teen Elle (Gabrielle Nevaeh), the group embarks on a journey through the Chinese countryside, encountering various monsters and mischievous spirits from Chinese folklore. They are pursued by a greedy industrialist amassing an army of evil Gremlins. With a second season, The Wild Batch, set for release in the fall, the crew heads to San Francisco for a new adventure. Collider's Meredith Loftus spoke with executive producers Tze Chun and Brendan Hay, as well as cast members Wang, Ming-Na Wen, LoCascio, and Nevaeh at San Diego Comic-Con 2024 about their characters' arcs and what to expect in the upcoming season, featuring new talent like Simu Liu and Will Forte, along with original Gremlins cast members.
